Visit to Merry Olde England (Renassiance Festival)

Ellee and I headed out to the local Renaissance Festival, and we took Lorrin and Jenna. We were all dressed up in period costume, so I dressed Ellee up by putting big reddish/purple flowers all over her harness. She looked so pretty and did super all day. So many wonderful people stopped to ask to pet her or asked about her history, her work, or just to say how beautiful she was with her flowers! One of those super sweet people we met was Lady(Princess)Olivia. She is moving to the land of Minnesota--she is going to play in the snow for me this winter. (MAYBE SHE WILL BUILD A SNOW DOG AND CALL IT ELLEE?!) We talked about her dog Oscar and his friend Jack. And Olivia told me about her friends Karly, Mallory and Rainey. While we talked she GENTLY and POLITELY petted Ellee, even sitting down on the ground next to her quietly. Olivia was the perfect example of how people should treat animals--Thank you Olivia for being so kind to Ellee--and thanks to all the other Ren Fest people who treated Ellee so great today too!!! DOG LOVERS ARE WONDERFUL FUN IN ANY CENTURY!!!
When the Swordsmen started hitting their swords together in their show Ellee barked a couple times--after that she was quiet. They use things in their show so they worked it right in and so kindly asked for a hurrah for service dogs and the show went on without any more barks---KUDOS to the SWORDSMEN for their kindness. Thank You.
This was the first time Ellee had every attended any kind of fair like this, so I really felt overall she did great. But I need to take her out to a couple more of these kinds of events with stuff that is a little different for her to experience and adjust to a little more. There are always new adventures for us to share and I need to be sure her training is kept up to datee!
HAVE FUN IN MINNESOTA MISS OLIVIA!
